EDITORIAL POLICY

Editorial Policy

TDR is always looking for editorials that encourage serious and good-humored discussion of education issues of more than passing interest. The editorials are accepted from anyone who cares to engage in a civil exchange of views. TDR encourages the submission of concise, lively and engaging comments and looks askance at long, dull or ideological pieces. They can find a home somewhere else. Obvious drivel, nasty, whining or complaining comments will not even be considered. Lively point-counterpoint is encouraged, so long as it remains civil; ad hominum argument will not be entertained, nor will name calling or ugly finger pointing.

Reproduction Guidelines

Permission is granted to copy original works from The Doyle Report without making a written request provided that (1) duplication is for an educational purpose or to spread TDR's fame; (2) Upon request original copies are made available without charge, beyond the cost of general reproduction or poster size framing; and (3) each copy includes full citation of the source.

Permission to reproduce more than one article, or to reproduce articles on a recurring basis, will be granted under the same conditions to those who make a reasonable request in writing.

This authorization to photocopy does not extend to photographs, artwork, or materials identified as reprinted by permission from other publishers, or to materials copyrighted by others, or articles appearing in "Ask the Experts" section. Written permission must be obtained from the author or copyright holder to photocopy these.

To obtain the appropriate permission, contact and ask for the reproduction permission form, or send e-mail to and provide your name, fax, and telephone number.
